Bridget Hillsberg
Bridget Hillsberg CCC-SLP, co-founder of BCST, has over twelve years of experience working with children in the home, preschool and elementary school settings. Bridget is a speech language pathologist who holds an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification of clinical competence (CCC-SLP), a speech-language pathology California state license (SLPAB), and a teaching credential. She received an undergraduate B.S. degree in communication disorders from The University of New Hampshire (UNH) and a graduate M.A. degree in communicative disorders from California State University Fullerton.
Bridget is highly acquainted with the diagnosis and treatment of speech and language disorders with clients ranging from the early intervention population through high school aged students. Bridget has experience assessing and creating individualized therapy plans for clients with speech sound disorders, language delays, autism, social skill deficits, stuttering, orofacial myofunctional disorders, late talkers, and apraxia. Bridget’s model for BCST focuses on advocating parent involvement by teaching parents how to embed their child’s speech and language goals into everyday activities to increase generalization and decrease therapy duration.
Bridget is passionate about helping others. She loves children and has two young children of her own! She is very thankful for her profession, the amazing families she works with everyday, and the ability to start an in-home speech therapy private practice with her sister Brooke Dwyer.
