For most parents, knowing communication milestones doesn’t come naturally.

You are keeping up with well-child visits, purchasing the next size up in clothing, and your child is developing just fine on the growth charts. But then you hear your cousin’s child speak up at brunch and the questioning starts.  Is my child talking enough for their age? Am I doing enough to encourage communication? If their child is more verbal than mine for their age… is everything okay?

The questioning is intense. But it doesn’t have to be.

You might be wondering…

Why is it important to know about communication milestones?

Milestones in general have been put into place to give us insight into a child’s developmental health. When a child reaches a milestone at the expected time that shows that they are developing as expected. If a child reaches a milestone earlier than expected that shows that they may be advanced in that area for their age. If a child is not meeting milestones or meeting them later than expected, that could indicate that the child has a developmental delay.

Who will this workshop help?

This workshop will be helpful for any parent or caregiver who wants to find out where their child is on his or her communication journey and what they can do to make an immediate impact on their communication skills.

My baby is only 6 months old. Will this workshop still be helpful?
